same exact issue i had except mine is steam when you load game it never actually entered the game. all i ended up doing to fix that issue was making the game exempt from virus and spyware scanners and also exempting the trainer, make sure the trainer is in your actual game folder. one other thing run the trainer as admin, assuming your using vista or win 7. other than that one step at a time follow the actual trainer trouble shooting guide. any questions let me know i'll answer what i can.

ok, let me know if t his helps:
    1. disable your anti virus and spyware software
    2. extract a new copy of the trainer into the same exact folder as daorigins.exe, do not use the old copy.
    3. then set the trainer to run as admin through properties(boot trainer before game)
    4. one other thing i should add on my pc... running win 7 64 bit ultimate if i use my headset (via usb) or another sound card on my pc the game will lock up with trainer, but if i use onboard sound card it will work, i also had to set up default sound device to my main speakers.
    5. make sure in the game its self that you have no keys bound to f1 or any of the number pad if you havent already... i had my f1 as save until it caused my constant crashes.
    6. also as stated in the trainer trouble shooter if using retail you should download the copy right protection patch for your game.
    7. btw i had the dragon age: origins ultimate from a dl before i bought it and you cant use the trainer on that version it fails constantly no matter what. (just to put out there in case you have that and not an actual retail version)
    8. if you tried that -enabledeveloperconsole stuff remove that from the loading properties of the shortcut if your loading via shortcut make a fresh shortcut.
    9. make sure you downloaded the trainer for retail not the steam model... although ive tested it they both work on my steam version of the game, surely they are different.
    10. if that dont work pm me and i'll see what other help i may be able to provide, honestly though if that fails try to do a game repair via cd or in the actual game folder there should be one but not sure. other than all listed i did do a phyx update on my pc.

Vista x64 Steam Ultimate edition no problems at all with the trainer, except i cant get the item editor to work for some reason but thats ok i suppose.

Trainer works for me loading the trainer first then the game, and the other way around.
