So it turns out that in the middle of Chapter 3, after you boost through the zero-gravity "wind tunnel" that blows you backwards, and pass through the door that lies towards the end of said wind-tunnel, the game just crashes. I've reloaded and tried again 3 times now, and it crashes on me at that exact spot every time. Gonna try a reinstall, hope that works. Anyone else having the same problem?

Oh frick...I'm in Chapter 3 but haven't hit that spot...but I only used the trainer once to get money and power nodes and then saved and reloaded without it...hopefully I didn't screw anything up...what options were you using?

He didn't say he was using the trainer. If this is trainer related then it should go in the trainer thread and this thread will be nuked.

I have turned on almost all the options at some point prior to getting to Chapter 3 just to see what they did and if they worked (most being turned off after testing). I am currently at Chapter 6 and have had no issues with this. Imo I don't think the trainer is causing the issue.

If you meant what options I used in the trainer, I haven't used the trainer at all, not yet anyhoo. Even without the trainer, the game still crashes constantly at that exact point I posted earlier. If you meant graphics-options, I maxed everything out and turned off shadows and vsync.

Update from earlier: reinstalling the game didn't work, game still crashes at aforementioned-point... (sigh) friggin EA better pop-out an update patch soon that fixes this crap, seriously...

Ho boy...I just ASSUMED it was trainer related...well, I'll let you know if I have similar problems...what release do you have? I'm using a retail Best Buy DVD.

Nevermind all, it's cleared up. Had to tamper with the graphics options for awhile, no more crashing -- w00t!

Huh, glad to hear that...I have settings maxed out at 1920x1080 and I just got through that section with no issues...weird...
