I've got an old phat 360 and when i try playing games i get these wierd flashing splinters of light on scteen, something to do with the disk reader or something maybe, i don't know, but i'm wondering if it would be worth fixing or it would be more worthwhile to go down to my local gamestop and buy another 360 shell?

if its a minor problem that costs u little in terms of money and effort...then get it fixed.

Yeah when they are replancing something they put some Korean **** in it, I heard that it doesn't work long, I'd buy a new one, or better yet save for your girlfriend

not without voiding the warranty and knowing your way around hdd installation. The new slims have a built-in hdd, which is dumb. You're better off getting the 250gb slim and a transfer cable and moving everything onto there.

    something to think about

after carefully weighing all my options, and shopping around, i've decided i'm sure as hell not going with a new 360 slim model, things are the price of a new video card, i'll just go with my first idea and buy a used shell from gamestop.
