Wow! That was Fast! Did a quick test. Loaded game, hit F1 .. no crash. started game, selected planet hit numpad 1-7 ... all worked, no crashes. Thanks a bunch

Hi, It's pobably me being a bit thick and doing it wrong; but I followed the instructions above, which seemed to work up until the "You will see that the paths unlock and are readable" point with the exception of reasearch items becoming readable.
I click on the reasearch items around the research topic I wished to unlock, hitting F9, the small link Icons seem to appear but the item I want to unlock doesn't (it still states lock when I hover over the blank icon)...
... what am I doing wrong
I am currently running 1.1.0.0 with the appropriate trainer.
I have exactly the same problem as Tari. The research tree also freezes when I use option 8 too much. The research tree won't update anymore though the levels are updated when I hover over them. No new trees will be unlocked afterwards.
The game is in retired status. So we may not get one. I cannot fault him. The fact he does this much work by himself is staggering. It would be nice, and I love mega ships as much as you do! Usually I just build one big ship larger than the star. That seems to be a pretty good deterrent.
