I'll try to explain this problem as best as I can.
I start up the trainer (Company of Hero's + all DLC), then I launch the game through steam. Both launch just fine, no problems. However, no matter how many times I hit F1 I cannot inject the trainer into the game. (Focus doesn't seem to matter either, wether I'm in-game @ the menu like it says to be, or if I alt tab to select the trainer itself, I hit F1 and it still says "hit F1 at the main menu"
Now, on the other hand...
I start up the trainer (same one), then I go into my C:/.../steam/steamapps/common/CoH folder, and manually start CoH.exe. After I get to the main menu, I hit F1. The trainer injects. All the cheats work. No graphical problems, no crashes, etc.
I don't know if this is just me, but doing it like this only works for some games. Others, if you try to launch from the actual executable, just transfer you back to steam's launcher.
I do not expect a fix for this, but an explanation would be nice.
No idea, we do not experience this on our PCs. You must have some AV or other software on your PC that is preventing the injection when used certain ways.

might be that the first time you started the game with trainer just didnt work because of the first time setup or something because i have the same thing (also have it on steam) when i started the game after it downloaded i started trainer and it didnt do anything altho it did activate i think altho i didnt hear the f1 activated thing but the option did go "on/off" as they made sound altho nothing worked nothing got changed but after i quit the game for dinner and started it up after that it did work so i dont know if it might be something like that? as for mine it works every time now.
Okay, I need to run the trainers under administrator mode in order to inject into games run under administrator mode.
The trainer, when not run in administrator mode, cannot inject into any steam games (Which since steam has to have administrative access, are all run in administrator mode.)
Just for future reference, you might want to add this to the Trainer FAQ's / Troubleshooting Guide.
