I don't know what you consider "fun". All of the commands that DOS used to have were all functional, no frills commands. And those that were carried over into the command prompt in Windows are doubly so.
In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'

BASH Terminal beats Command Prompt so much...even if you give CMD the cscript program.
    Your bitterness, I will dispel

    Why CMD?
    CMD have many restrictions.
You can't do many things over it. Even if you do something it is most same as shortcut.

What neo mean is command shell from linux/Mac OS, which is realy powerfull.
Similar to this is powershell under windows, but you can learn the commands over years, because it is completely different from all other shells and realy complex.

Telnet isn't bad, but you have to run the service and have some restrictions aswell. Under windows you can let your CD/DVD Drive come out with telnet for example.

So tell us what you understand as fun and we may help you xD
