South Korea that is. Oh, gotta love travelling. I'm there for a 2 week holiday and I'll be leaving in a couple of days. For the time being, I've started packing and it got me thinking, what do you guys normally pack when you're going for a holiday? I must say that I've adopted the habit of packing things that I don't even acquire or things that I don't end up using during the holiday. Things such as sweaters and extra toiletries. Yeah I tend to overpack a lot.
Unlike many Western cities, Seoul (and the rest of Korea) has few violent crimes these days(and almost none involving firearms, as only police and military have them). Also, as a foreigner you're more likely to be attacked by another
foreigner than by a Korean (unless, of course, you like to live dangerously and bad-mouth everyone you see). Most Koreans view foreigners with a mix or awe (star status) and fear (of the unknown).
if is it your first time visit SK, there things u should know(if you want to stay out of trouble in there):
- Have a local (Korean, that is, preferably one born there and/or fluent in both languages) with you when you go out. It not only makes emergencies easier to deal with (most Korean policemen know zero English) but also makes ordering and such a breeze. - Go in pairs or larger groups. Even a small group of 3 or more ladies might seem impenetrable for a masher. - If someone is harassing you act as if they are a bear: no eye contact and back away slowly. Provoking or challenging a drunk (can't imagine a sober Korean being anything but harmless) Korean is not a good idea--they have the language and such on their side and can manipulate the story if the authorities get involved.

That's not the point of this topic though. The point is, what do you guys usually pack when heading overseas for a holiday? Seems like you didn't read my post
I only just pack what I need like, clothes, ID, and maybe a camera, that is just the way I am. Although when I moved to Australia by myself a couple years ago I want to pack just the bare essentials and leave most of the **** I had in storage at my mums house in New Zealand, but some how she talked me into taking 5 or 6 big suit cases of crap I owned, I guess she just wanted her baby boy prepared for what lied ahead. Though like I said, I'm normally a bare essentials kind of guy.
