Anno 1404: Dawn of Discovery - Venice Message Board  

The link downloads the patch file, but the patch refuses to install on the retail boxed version or the steam version. Patch says Anno file not found. Is the patch for the UK version only and not the US version?

I down loaded my game from the internet it did the pacth automaticly and I alo installed the one link in this message base also worked. I am using the Down loaded version. the only thing i can see wrong is you program is not in the directory the patch is looking for.

It is ashame we have to wait Steam. I feel like we are beeing held hostage. I never had much use for Steam any way.

From what I can gather on the English speaking Ubisoft message boards, the patch for Anno 1404 Venice is for the UK(British) version only. Dawn of Discovery-Venice patch 2.1 released here in the US has not been made available as of yet. Hopefully, Steam will have the update by the end of January. The stand alone patch will not work because it cannot locate Anno 1404, it finds Dawn of Discovery instead. Pretty silly, if you ask me. We will have to wait for the autopatch on the game to work properly, then Cheathappens can update the trainer. These guys should take lessons from Paradox interactive on the right way to run a video gaming studio.

Playing the game is useless cos every time you save or you get autosave the game crashes... Why would anyone play a game where you can't save your progress?

Would it be possible to make a trainer for RETAIL 1.3 instead of the Steam version, as the retail game can be patched manually?

I certainly second the request for an update to the trainer for game V2.1!
