I read up on articals that where released on tuesday there.

Some of the replys back to it showed me people are extremly enjoying the game.

I am glad New Vegas is a big success. As things hold up, I hope Bethesda looks to continue their Fallout relationship with Obsidian for future games. As a longtime Fallout fan, I could not be happier with how things have turned out with New Vegas.

With more than five million copies shipped since the game's release, with retailers calling for more. So really its up to yourself how you wana go.

As far as Vorpals opinion, I'd rather have Bethesda do the developing in the next release (of which I believe they are in Fallout 4) than Obsidian. Obsidian already has released some iffy games that didn't go over well outside of Vegas. Anyway, you're going to get those kind of reviews if you cherry pick them out for nothing but praise, that's no different than taking the whole of everyone's opinion's out of context. I bet you can find more that don't like it or mentioned some negatives about Vegas. I have been gaming since the mid-70s (yes I am that old) and I know the Fallouts as well as anyone. This game is not original and like the first two, has lots of bugs. Black Isle (what is now Obsidian) was not into much QA as a developer, but they definitely made great game play and stories.

Seriously though, you've seen many negative responses here (let alone outside of this site) regarding Vegas, including from myself and I am not bashing it because I am just simplifying some dislike of the game. Outside of the bugs, which I did expect, but not this bad.

    [Edited by tommy6860, 11/14/2010 3:58:55 AM]

Yeah there are those that dont like it cause of the bugs. There are those that feel its not Original. There are those that like it not matter what about the bugs. There are those that feel the game is Original. So like I said its up to you. In all games there is people gona bash the game cause of bugs. But what can I say. Bar than what I know with mine I am very happy. But like I said its up to you the gamer if you wana play it.

And that's what it is really about, whether one likes it or not. I do know there are those that didn't have much of an issue from a technical standpoint. And I do agree the game does have a fun factor to it when doing the quest, but it is about the same as the first two with (as I stated before) recycled material from the previous three, losing its originality. So for me there's not much re-playability considering the gameplay and game mechanics are the same as Fallout 3. It's too bad that the same game engine was used that was used for Oblivion for this game.

One helluva game! Believe me, this game has more to offer than Fallout 3 and that was one of the best games I've played so far!

To me it continues the story from FO2 which is great Cause baisicly thats how it went. Fallout 1 started then at the end you disappered into the desert FO2 you created the village you started in. Now it took from being there furter in time. Which is cool. insted of connected to the vault dweller. To me it has its Originality like the rest. The Game engine I see nothing wrong with it. I have Oblivion and thats an awesome game. I loved the Graphics in that game.

I'd rather they let Fallout die.

The Obsidian of today is not the Black Isle that developed the Fallout we knew and loved.

Cain, Boyarsky, and Taylor (Fallout 1) all left the company to form Troika.

Urquhart (lead for Fallout 2) is just the CEO of Obsidian now and pretty much is hands off of the actual game design.

It was Josh Sawyer (lead for Icewind Dale 2) that led Fallout: New Vegas and it pretty much shows. IWD2 and the IWD series was pretty much the bastard child for Black Isle. It was the "actiony" one. It was the one that didn't have Black Isle's true soul.

It was also Chris Avellone that helped lead New Vegas. Chris Avellone was the guy that turned Alpha Protocol into a clinic on how NOT to make a video game. Bugs galore.

So you took Black Isle's least successful games designer, paired him up with Obsidian's technical failure and gave us Fallout: New Vegas.

If this is the team that is going to carry on the Fallout franchise, i'd rather they just bury it so I can remember it fondly as Fallout 1 and 2 rather than watch them kill part of my early years as a computer gamer.

Heres the thing! I have heard them to. But never had them! But thats me saying no more cause Tommy will come in going blah blah blah we know already. I can respond to peoples post also I aint missleading anyone telling them that I have no problems with the game. When I actualy have no issues with it at all.

I never said you were lying or otherwise. Just because you didn't experience the issues, doesn't mean they don't exist. Here's a hint for those who want to know, look up bugs on Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Vegas and one gets the idea. Maybe in time they will rid of all of the bugs in Vegas, but I doubt it at this point. I can say that of all of the games of the same engine, that this is the buggiest.

The bottom line is, you like this game very much and therefor you're going to promote it. I like Vegas, it just isn't compelling when I have done this already. I say it is not of good quality and is nearly like playing Fallout 3 since the gameplay is the same with the nasty bugs that Fallout 3 had as well, except Fallout 3 is pretty much fixed now.
