since there is no cheat code thread and as Neo stated it will be closed if one is created. I just want to report that the code "physx.char.speed 30" to run faster didn't work.

So might want to remove that off the cheat list.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the trainer!

If I could have a request though, it'd be to freeze timer.

I just can't get past the Rustler's Run quest. Character keeps running into leaves, grass and rarely branches and stopping completely, or from all my efforts not to run into a strand of grass that blocks movement I end up following the trail shown rather than the map and veer off course for too long.

If at least there was a working speed cheat, perhaps I could just run the race myself

A trick I found for racing horses that might not be immediately apparent is that holding W forces the horse to turn to where you're looking, and A and D force a more rapid (and harder to control!) turn. As far as Rustler's Run itself, the trail is actually pretty close to the fastest way to get through it, although there's one spot that it forks around a bush you have to watch out for - maybe try jumping over it? It's tricky though, I agree.

Seconded. Hold down W and use A&D for steering, just use the mouse to look where you're going. If you can, don't slow down. Keep the meter on the right at full for the whole race. Using A&D will help, just keep your eyes open for more obstacles. Most of them you can get around without much of a penalty to your time. I finished that quest with 30 seconds to spare using this method.

Back to the thread, having said that, I wouldn't mind requesting an option to freeze the timer. I wouldn't mind doing some more of the horse races, but I really hate timers. There's a couple other timed missions in the game which you can't avoid too.

Thing is, I tried that already and still failed the quest.

I'm having such a bad luck in it. I keep running into bushes and such.

It's a wonder how my horse can easily knock aside a charging fullsized adult male Rhino, knock an entire wall of barrels and chests, and yet a simple twig stops it dead in its tracks.

i found a nifty trick, if your failing the races, and you love cheating... f**k the horse. I completed the quest WITHOUT the horse, simply use the jump2 console command to teleport to where your facing to quickly traverse the course. The checkpoints are cleared even without being on a horse when you go thru them. then just teleport back to the start and hand in, i completed it with 2 mins to spare this way

to make it easier to teleport back to start, try dropping a portable teleport platform near staring npc. The quest will still show the checkpoints on map after finishign the race, becuase your expected to go thru the checkpoints on the way back too but you can go back in you own time and go thru them to clear the quest in your log.
