A lot of the problem is that people are used to FO3, where by now the bugs have been patched either officially or unofficially. FO:NV was only recently born, and though based on the same engine, still needs patchwork. Once the devs and people like the FOOK team have time to focus on specific elements it should be a lot more fun. That's why I always get Bethesda games on PC. Mods make the game fun and if someone's not making one fast enough for you, they supply the GECK so you can learn and build things for yourself. It's nice when companies encourage player modding.

I'm excited to see any mods in the future. In spite of the hopefully temporary bugs, this game has a nice story and I've played through multiple times in order to see all the different choices (most games I get bored after the first playthrough, even with multiple endings).

I mean Serisuly I have not came accross any of these problems people are having I have seen the sites and read them. Like I said I have only had one glitch with a ghost Ghoul. Nothing else has went wrong with my game at all. Am not saying these dudes are lying at all. Am saying I have had no problems like these people at all.

I can assign hotkeys :s so I have no clue why your saying you cant. Dude FO3 was done for the PC and put on the Consoles so was FONV so its not been ported from the console! So dont give me that rubbish. You dont like having to use the controls on your pipboy shows me that your lazy and want it to be one button push here and there. Heck I nearly get the feeling you want it to play the game itself.

I really dont care about those that get to review games. This game runs completly fine for me and I stick by GOTY title for it. Also I aint gona go bloody looking for glitches in a game. That not why I buy games.

    You can assign hotkeys? Bull****.

Where's the menu option to assign to swap weapons? Oh, that's tab, click to items, click to weapons, click on the weapon.

Where's the menu option to assign ammo swappon? Oh, that's tab. Click to items, click to ammo, click on the ammo.

Where's the menu option to assign use super stimpack? Oh, that's tab. Click to items, click to aid, click on super stimpack.

Where's the menu option to assign showing your current selected quest's objectives? Oh. That's tab too. Click to data. Click to quests.

Where's the menu option to assign a hotkey to bring up the world map? Oh. That's tab. Click to data. Click on world map.

Where's the menu optoon to assign a hotkey to bring up your inventory to eat food? Oh. That's tab. Click to items. Click on aid. Click on food.

That's a lazy port. You basically have no idea what a glitch is. You have no idea what it means to port a game. You are basically a blind fanboy that is completely clueless.

You don't even know what a hotkey is.

Yeah man, you can assign hotkeys.

And this is why it cannot be GOTY and is absolute garbage.

Encouraging the modding community to patch the game is just ridiculous. Requiring the end user to learn your in house tools to fix the game for themselves just so they can play your game is stupid.

I didn't pay you 50 dollars to make your game for you.

Or you're just used to lazy games where you can click a button and complete the game.

You completely missed the entire point of the Pipboy, didn't you? All of the complaints you've made about the Tab key are completely irrelivant and stupid. Tab brings up the Pipboy. The Pipboy is one of the central devices in the Fallout saga. The Pipboy has ALWAYS been the gateway to your stats, map, items, etc. It's just that the original games were turn-based/point and click games. It's excellent how they've transferred the original features into an FPS. The features you're complaining about are exactly the same in FO3 and I don't hear you complaining about that. You can't insult one without the other.

So you have to do a little extra leg work... whoop-de-****ing-doo. Get over it or don't play it.

Go back to Call of Duty and stop *****ing about central themes to the damn game being bugs and lazy ports. You're the clueless one in here.

Oh, and by the way, the ammo swap key is 2 and is assigned from the first time you click New Game. Do your research. The fact is, the PS3 and 360 versions are the actual ports. Hard to believe in this day and age of declining PC gaming, but it's true.

I've probably had my game crash in excess of about a 100+ times, but I consider it a part of the wasteland experience! You get used to quicksaving every two minutes, and though it sometimes annoy me, I won't let it ruin my experience. On my third playthrough now, and still finding new stuff to do! Love it!

I am not following you at all on the hot keys, there are most certainly hot keys and they can be assigned. While I think this game is of poor quality with crashes and more bugs than a roach infested slum, you can still assign hot keys.. Go into the Pip-Boy (that's where you assign items/weapons), hold down one of the number keys 1-8 to assign item/weapon, and that item/weapon will be assigned to that key. You can hit any of those specific keys in-game for a different weapon/item without changing it in the Pip-Boy.

Now unless you mean some other type of hot key, I don't think you're correct as far as I describe it. Fallout 3 is the same way.

I agree with you on this though. It is like the final release of this game is still beta and the end user is still testing it it at their own expense. Fallout 3 wasn't nearly this bad when it was released and it looked better graphically.

I don't think you're correct with the porting part. Fallout 3 was developed for each platform and not ported from one to the other, that is a fact.

    tinyurl.com/3323cvv

Since Bethesda is still the publisher, I think the same for Vegas as well. Another fact, PC gaming has gone down so much that many games now on PC are ported from consoles. And rightfully so, since more than 90% of the profits from cross-platform games are made from the console sales. Look at how many Vegas copies sold on just the Xbox360 compared to the PC version, it is nearly a 10-1 difference favoring the 360. So development of those games are going to be focused on the console with PC being later. Mass Effect 2 is a port, though released at the same time as the console version. Many PC games that are on console typically come out months after the console release (note Fable III) or are simply canceled (note Alan Wake). That aspect there is near certainty that the PC versions of console games are ports from consoles, simply revamped with higher res graphics.
