This trainer does add to the instability of the game, especially in trading scenes or when NPCs take or give back all your weapons. Other than that great trainer, thanks for doing it.
What does it do? What happens when the NPC's give you back your weapons with the trainer activated?
Straight out crashes. I've had it happen going into and out of the casinos as well as with various traders. It's not every time either, *shrug* it happens enough to make it annoying, but not enough for me to stop using the trainer. I only mentioned it as an item to look at whenever the next update comes along.
You are likely using the Infinite Ammo or Infinite Bottlecaps options. It's best to turn them off when entering such interactions.

Not sure if this have been discussed previous in this thread, but didn't feel like going through 28 pages of comments atm =)
Feel free to not reply to this post if it have been adressed earlier =)
I have same problem and use Steam version of the game, running with Win7.
Sometimes when I start the trainer (game not loaded yet and rund it as administrator) it just chrashes and it takes 2-3 tries just to open the trainer.
Tried to reboot my computer and start the trainer with same results.
I played the first time through the game without any real problems. Sure, the trainer was hard to open sometimes, but didn't affect the game other than 2-3 chrashes that could just as well be the game itself.
Stopped playing at lvl 26 as soon as I got to Lucky 38 and "The Strip", cause I wanted to try and get better skills and abilities. Didn't quite understand how to do it at first, but after reading through the trainer instructions I understood how to get more skillpoints, so I just started a new game =)
It seems like my troubles started when I tried to start a new game and tamper with more skillpoints and abilities.
Now I get random chrashes just about every 2-3 minutes, Think I've managed to play the first few missions and save Ringo in the first city, but just had to stop playing.
The game chrashes now even without the use of trainer, probably cause it's allready saved with too many skillpoints/abilities?
Got most abilities like strength, agility, intelligence at 10 points and just left endurance at 5 or 6 points so I could have some extra to put there while levelling further. Think I am lvl 9 at the moment.
My skillpoints are mostly at 100 with a few like melee weapons and medicine at around 20. This is so I can have some place to put them when I get more levels.
Hope this helps

Edit: The crash usually happens when entering or leaving saloon or whenver loading takes place

lol downloaded it and my anti virus blocked a trojan coming from the trainer
Here is a tip IF you are using Norton Antivirus:
Just disable the antivirus and download the trainer.
Then unpack it and go to settings/configure in Norton.
You need to put the filename of the trainer under scanning exclusions before you can use it under Norton. Otherwise it won't work. It's not a virus, it's just how the trainer works that makes Norton "go Crazy"
Hope this helps =)
