I've been using this trainer with Steam and it's worked great, but I found a great utility on the New Vegas Nexus that optimises how your memory is used (only for 64-bit system users, though) and therefore increases performance significantly, like removing those microstutters that you sometimes get.
Here's the link for those interested: www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35262
The problem is that the utility bypasses the Steam Launcher. So when I use the trainer along with it, I get the "trainer cannot find game" message. So I'm wondering: Is there anyway you can specify to the trainer which instance of the game it recognises? If there is, could you walk me through how to do it? Not be a bother or anything. It would just be very appreciated. And if not? Well, c'est la vie.

FNV4GB doesn't bypass the Steam Launcher. There's a reason the description for the file itself has special instructions if you had a specific version that had a different steam app ID.
FNV4GB hooks on to the steam launcher and runs the app directly as if you clicked play manually. From my experiences with it, the trainer had no issues finding the game.

Like Gaygas I recieve the message "trainer cannot find game". I have the US Steam version of the game. I have no idea how to find the Steam app ID.
[Edit] I found that if you right click on FNV in the steam list there is an option to create a desktop shortcut. When I opened the shortcut "steam://rungameid/22380" is what is there. Clearly I have the standard version of the game with the app id of 22380. Still getting "trainer cannot find game".
[Edit2] I got it to work but this makes no sence. I created a shortcut to fnv4gb.exe and in the target line at the end I added -22380 . Used the Shortcut to start the game and the activated the tranier and it worked. So, in essence, I had to tell fnv4gb.exe to use the standard steam app. Go figure...

I'm not sure why you would complain about having to add -22380 to the commandline when in the readme and file description for FNV4GB, it deals specifically with the possibility of people having that version.
I believe the 22380 version is the retail box version while the one you purchase directly through Steam had a different Steam app ID and it defaults to the one you purchase through Steam.
Not really complaining. I was just trying to explain my steps and frustrations in getting the 2 programs working together. The idea, i guess, was to let people see what I had done so that anyone else having the same problem might find it easier to get the trainer started is all.
Alright, I confirmed that whenever I use the newest version of the cheat with the latest, updated version of the FNV, I get a "corrupted" saved game with my character floating in the sky upon loading.
Here's what I did to test:
1. Took a clean save and used built in cheats and saved. Result: no corruption.
2. Took a clean save and used Cheat Happens Ultimate cheat and saved. Result: "corruption".
3. Took a clean save and used Cheat Happens cheats + built in and saved just for the heck of it. Result: "corruption".
I only used one cheat: the bionic movement cheat.
It's not corruption, it's the way the bionic man cheat works. In order to make you run that fast, the trainer increases the scale of your character. That's why when you enter thid-person mode, you'll be looking at it from above.
Try this to fix it. Load your "corrupted" save, activate the bionic man cheat then deactivate it. Save. Then load that save. You should be down to your original scale. I didn't figure it out at first myself, but that's what I usually do to make it go back to normal. Hope that helps.
