Okay, I recently beat the game and I was wondering what the heck the ending movie meant? I never played the first three games and so I was kind of lost.

    Spoiler:
The whole game relatively made sense, I could easily learn information about the universe of the game but that ending was vague to me. I had no idea who those three men were or what happened to my character afterwards. Was that demon the dark God brother that the King said he killed? He said he killed all of the Gods which I wasn't sure if it was true or not. And, I'm guessing the main character is actually the son of an Ahn'Nosri and maybe a human?

    Spoiler:
Indeed, I haven't played the other games as well and the end is kind of a rip off if you ask me. It felt like it wasn't finished, like they needed to rush the game because the deadline was in sight.

Because just before the end battle, there was spoken of the amulet that needed to be placed in something big.

Well battle won, end movie start with an unknown woman placing the amulet into a statue but there was no sign on the statue where the amulet should be put :P

And indeed who the heck were those 3 men? :P

Throughout the game more and more made sense in a confusing way (Russians need to learn how to do story telling just like stalker and metro) But after seeing the ending movie which took not more then 1 minute I was more confused then ever.

Spellbound is a German company, not Russian.

Yeah, this is a German game and their games can get pretty weird too.

    Spoiler:

after 3 times playing thru the whole game, i think i know who those 3 guys in the endmovie are,as we know 3 persons went at war for king robar iii, hagan, durhan or whatever his name was, and lee, hagan went back to robar 3, durhan was killed by the hero, and we never saw lee doing anything ^^ except that he put setarrif town on fire. anyway those 3 guys in the endmovie are the setariff king i think and 2 helpers, stealing away the demon which occupied robar 3, to use him for revenge of the occupiers, which is lee, so i bet we will see this back in the expansion or sequel a time

So as someone who played all the previous games I wanted to shed some light here...hopefully. I watched the ending, but haven't completed the game yet so I don't know everything about the Arcania specific story line (and yeah, I don't mind being spoilered at all)
    Spoiler:
The 3 guys are Thorus, an important character throughout the whole game while the other 2 are never named and I don't think I know them so they're probably Arcania characters.
It is important to know that Rhobart III is actually the old nameless hero from the first 3 games. I don't know which of the 3 endings of Gothic 3 Spellbound used as base for Arcania. Probably the Innos one as explained in a second. The story of Gothic was always a bit vague and confusing but it was hinted, that the nameless hero (aka Rhobart III) is the avatar of Innos, so maybe that 'demon' that possessed him was actually Innos or his Spirit, because Arcania strengthens the whole theme of Innos not being the good guy (at least at the start it is mentioned) which was already hinted at in Gothic III.

Another interesting fact that I noticed is, that the plate (amulet?) that the woman has at the start seems to sport the symbol of beliar or even the sleeper (arch demon/end boss from the first game, was probably avatar of beliar).
The game or its story is very much about the gods, their war and everything. The first 3 games we played the Avatar of Innos (God of Sun, Light, Order) because of the hints at the end of Feshyr starting isle, I assume that the new hero is either Avatar of Adanos (to bring overall balance) or Beliar (God of Destruction, Chaos, Absolute Freedom - yeah that is the same as Chaos )

Maybe I get more answers if I continue playing the game. If not, at least the story is still as we're used to it from Gothic
