Firefly, that is not a pearlescent weapon. That's a purple.

Yes it's called 'pearl' for nothing

    Simply put Firefly,
a weapon is called by their name's color, like this:

    White
    Green
    Blue
    Purple
    Orange
    Deep Orange
    Pearlescent

So your weapons name has nothing to do with it,
but the color of the name tells you what kind of quality it is.

e.g. your weapon which is called "Pearl" but the color of the name is in purple,
    hence, its a purple weapon.

    Best regards

this is a little off topic, but concerning the DLC's, I was thinking of buying the GOTY edition of Borderlands even though i already have a copy of the main game, and the dlc double pack with the zombie island of dr. ned and Moxxies big top, or whatever it's called, i'm interested in the 3rd and 4th DLC's as well as the DNF forever demo, though i'm not sure it's worth the $50 I'd have to shell out for it. Any thoughts on the matter?

I guess that depends on how long before the rest of the public gets the demo.

    Me personally,
isn't going to buy the GOTY,
since I already have all of the DLC's.

that's just it, no one knows, no one outside of gearbox anyways, and sure i'd be willing to pay for a demo that's eventually going to be free, like $5 or $10, but not $50, there's the two DLC's as well, but steam only charges $10 a piece for those, though steam won't recognize my copy of borderlands cause i bought the retail version, and i have to buy the DLC's directly from take 2's site, even then it's only $20 for both, so i'd be looking at spending $30 for a demo.

    I got the demo access

It seems that Gearbox changed their policy,
and everyone who bought Borderlands and all 4 DLC's got Duke Nukem access.

    I honestly don't know,
maybe it was a slipup on their side,
and only affected people who had already bought all the DLC's,
there's even confusion on the official Duke Nukem Forever forums as well,
and I don't think Gearbox has replied yet as to what is going on.
