I was wondering if anyone else found the 1000000 money cheat rather high? It would be nice if it could be lowered to 100000 increments instead?

I disagree, in fact I need more after buying up most of the tiles in S-America. What's the problem if you have more money?
If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much.

Well, imho cheats in general are there to make the game easier, though not to completely destroy the challenge. With Civ4, it was all very well giving yourself lots of money, you could hurry production, but you couldn't buy everything. With civ5, that has changed. You can now basically buy everything, including land, so you don't really even have to wait for your culture level to increase. I like to give myself a better start but too me 1 million just allows me to keep on buying and buying.... I guess I could now use the world editor to sort this out. Just need to figure out how.

Could teach yourself to save money instead blowing money all the time. Even tho you could buy everything just set yourself a spending limite and say this how much I am going to blow today. Plus it helps in life has well.... (Dont ask I had no sleep for 12hrs kind of not in my right mind)

I was waiting for someone to add that :-) You are correct, I could do that. Though this is my issue with that... and I guess I am just abnormal then. You see, playing a game where you must make money to stay alive, compared to having a ton of gold in the bank doesn't have the same feeling of accomplishment. Anyway, I see now someone else asked this question within another post... so I certainly don't see a change now. Let me get back to one of the greatest games made! :-)

It is a lot of money and money alone can nearly win the game for you. It doesn't take much to flip the money counter over and be in the negatives.
You should look at using the fire tuner to give yourself exactly the amount of money you want though.

Hmm, I wasn't sure how to use that. Does one load save games into it?

Or you can use CE to give yourself some money. Just search the money address a few time and modify it. Then close the CE and play. =)
