I'm hoping since GTAIV runs so well on my PC that it will be able to handle this game.

I have an Intel Quad Core @2.2 Ghz, a ATI HD 5850 ( 1 GB DDR5) and 4 GBs DDR2 RAM running on Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have an i5 Processor, Same GFX Card, and 4 GB RAM with Windows 7. There are some slight hiccups, as the engine for the game was not optimized very well. I got about 40 FPS when there was either a lot happening on screen or there were a lot of zombies, and I got around 60 FPS when there wasn't much going on and there weren't too many zombies around. Loading is improved, but only by a few seconds. Most cutscenes don't even have to have a load screen like the console version, it just fades to black then the cutscene rolls about a 2 seconds after. But yeah, blame the framerate drops on the game engine, I run every other game I own maxed and i never dip below 45 FPS, most the time I'm at 60 or higher.

Runs great on my machine, though in some areas outside the number of zombies gets a little ridiculous . It's a decent port, but it's another title that, although good, you can tell it was designed primarily for console use.

The only problem I've found so far is the controls... they're a little sluggish sometimes, and can get annoying in certain places. The lack of customisable keys is also a little annoying, but not game breaking.

One last thing holding me back, and it's why I didn't buy the first game is the annoying timed sequences. Does the CH trainer address this, so that you're not forced to live by the games built in clock? Is it possible with the trainer to play through the entire game the first time and experience every major event?

The trainer lets you roll back time on the mission clocks, so you don't really have to deal with time limits. I don't think it affects the overall 72hour game clock though. Not really that big of a deal, IMHO.

Thanks guys for the advice, not only is this the best place to get feature-laden trainers for the latest and older titles but the community here is second to none

Ok enough, I don't need any further convincing time to head to STEAM and buy the game.

Also any fans of SUPREME COMMANDER 2 might want to check out some new DLC (Infinite War Battle Pack 1) finally. For $10 it packs quite a punch, new maps, new units (for all three factions) even experimentals like the return of the Cybran Monkey Lord - one of my faves from the first game as well as new tech tree enhancements. There is no new campaign material but all the new DLC can be used in skirmish and multiplayer. This is also the first of hopefully many DLC packs for the game. The best part is the latest CH trainer works with the DLC.

pjlambo-

Thanks for the heads up on the DLC for Supreme 2. I saw this was out and curious if the trainer works. Glad to see it is worth the 10$.

Let us know what kind of frames you get with Dead Rising 2. We have similar specs and the lowest I am getting with everything maxed is mid 30's.

PD

The frame rate is absolutely loopy on my machine. In some areas I'll get 40-50 FPS, in others, only 18-25. Luckily though, the game seems to be well designed, since so far even at the lowest FPS the game runs smoothly.
