    Nevermind.

"The tools may be more effective than those who battled before you but make no mistake, you are no less a barbarian than your ancestors with their clubs and rocks. The only difference now is you do it without honor; cowering behind your guns, your bombs. You don't use tactic, just force..."

I'm still not sure how to use this. I followed your instructions (I think). I installed V SDK and clicked on Fire Tuner ( and did the config.ini). What do I do next? What I did do was launch the CIV 5 game but wasn't able to see how to use the Fire Tuner. When I got back out of the game I saw that the Tuner had been connected. Can you help? Thanks!

When you have both the game and tuner started you're pretty much there. Just start the map you want and alt-tab to the tuner and it should display options updated for your map - like adding units for the various civs on the map.

All units, improvements and such are found under the "Map" tab,
just select the one you want and a quantity if it's a tactical resource and check the box next to the plopper type you're using.

To give yourself free techs, go to the "Active Player" tab,
there you'll find various options for giving the various techs -
the "Add One Tech" button for instance works like the ruins, giving you some random tech.

Only problem i'm seeing with the tuner is, when you drop a resource and your city uses it, the city wont allow you to build specific buildings towards that resource, like for silver/gold, you'll get the happiness but your city cant build the Mint building for some reason...

Try using the tuner to add the mint to your city OR try building it outside the city radius then buy the tile in game.

This is a bug to be reported up to Firaxis games. Their modding forum is at this link:

    Thanks!

I must still be doing something wrong. I can see the various units/resources but don't see how to add them to the game. Is there suppose to be a map visible in the Tuner?

Sorry I'm such a slow learner.

Using your directions I can add Techs. I think I've figured out how to add improvements and resources but not units.

For units you just have to select the correct civilization in the window listing these, then select the unit you want in the unit list. After that it's just a matter of enabling the unit plopper and clicking away.
