I had to clear my cache and remove some of the mods. Clearing the cache and restarting may help identify if it's the mods loading up crashing the game (as was my case) since the mod database was being created during the crash.

    Mine is located here:

    C:\Users\...\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache

Deleting all of the .db files there can sometimes help especially if you've been messing with mods and game files.

Also a Logs folder parallel to cache which may contain info on what caused your crash. Other than that make sure you are able to load the game with no trainer running (trainer should not cause a start up crash since you haven't activated it) and ask on the Civ 5 official forums.

    Hi,
Should this cheat be able to run in Windows 7 64 Bit? Every time I press F1 to activate it I get a windows error box telling me that "Civilization V Trainer has stopped working" giving me the option to close the program or check online for a solution. It also gives me the following details.

Thanks to any one who may be able to help.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and the trainer works fine. Only time it crashes (which is with any trainer from CH) is if I start the trainer up and exit the folder I have it in before the trainer verifies itself. After that its golden for me.

    Thanks for the updated trainer.
That is the smartest thing I have ever heard anyone say about anything.

My problem is I can't seem save a game and come back and play it later. As soon as I load a game which I used the trainer on (after several turns) I get a runtime error when it tries to load up the game and crashes.

I saw a ton of threads on official forums of people saying 69+ cities causes this runtime game load error...others say over turn 160+ causes this. So far I caused it 4 times... one with a game 31 turns, one with a game 22 turns, another with a game 14 turns... and the worst was today a 3 turn game and now i cant load it.

I notice that when I do not use the trainer I am able to reload the game without a crash.

I believe the reason is when you use "unlimited moves" I end up exploring the entire huge map very early in the game and expose the huge amount of enemy cities everywhere.

I think this is causes some bug in the game to glitch out. I am just hoping "2K games" fixes this issue or I wasted 50 bucks on this game. Over a week now and its only playable 1 sitting at a time... no going back.

    Anyone else get this?

Yeah..I'm still getting save game load errors. I noticed that if I close the trainer before I save it seems to load, but that isnt always the case

Well, as is the case with any trainer, when you're making the game do things it wasn't meant to do, then "results may vary". Just because the trainer will let you do something doesn't always mean you SHOULD do something, especially in excess. Use the trainer sparingly when you really need it.

We have about 7 new options that will be added sometime this weekend which may help with some of the issues. We've designed an option that will let you move anywhere... over mountains, send boats across land into separate waterways, move soldier units across water, etc. We've also addressed several requests such as XP, resources, etc. By being able to move "through" areas that you couldn't before, you can explore in many less turns which should help with the crash frequency.

    Stay tuned...
