I'd like to tack on a | No Penalties | & |Increase Current Lap Counter | options. Tired of getting bogus flags. Car spins out behind me, I get charged with illegal blocking of a non moving vehicle.

Plus I have found a nifty way of disabling vehicles by setting a few of the ai files to the ascii NUL.

Maybe you tell us which one?

Seems anything I would want from a trainer for this has already been mentioned (Stop timer, always win, no penalties, shorter career races etc.) So I will just patiently wait for a trainer now since I am sure one will be coming soon

    sorry if i wasn't clear.

in the games ai folder (for me the steam install directory) you'll see a bunch of xml files.

In previous codemaster games, I could simply delete these files to make the competition go dead. But apparently that just makes F1 freeze. I also recommend archiving these files before modding.

The ascii NUL character can be placed by holding the ALT key, then typing 256 with the number pad. I edited the files using notepad++. The files should ONLY contain the NUL symbol after modding.

Mind you, I've only played the game 15-30 minutes. 10+ of which was me cycling the plentiful loading and tutorial bs.

    Files modified so far:
    catchup.xml
    ai_vehicle_cornering_statistics.xml
    ai_driver_parameter_mappings.xml

Atm the ai Starts the races normally but crash into each other and the walls. Which is where the penalties really begin to become a pain. Touching or passing a distressed vehicle is sometimes considered unsportsmanlike, stalling in front of a crashed vehicle (who is facing the bloody wall) is sometimes considered illegal blocking.

If I knew how to remove those ruddy rules I would. Going to try nullifying the rest of the files in order then delete my save and start over.

Also, the deletion/modding of those ai files works in dirt/dirt2 and grid. Be wary if you do it in grid and f1, because your team mate will not function properly (they sit like the rest of the drivers).

Np mate, I probably should post that in a separate thread.

I should also mention, the stuff listed doesn't help at all for modes like Gatecrasher(dirt2), drifting(grid), or effect the times of the npc's if they aren't actually in a race. Such as beat this persons time.

I still have to do much testing for f1 2010. I'd prefer the people not crash and just sit there.
