she's famous mostly because of her upbringing. her family was very wealthy and she lived and grew up around many well known celebrities. Bruce Springsteen literally lived next door to her when she was a child. but her 'career' in the spotlight was only launched when she was seen out on dates with Nick Lachey after he had divorced Jessica Simpson, and the paparazzi started eating it up. soon, Kim started taking advantage the the paparazzi's interest in her when she would go out with her celebrity friends like Paris Hilton...then her & her family pitched the idea of a reality show to some producer and BooM, the ***** is everywhere.

and with this "catfish" show, i don't understand the analogy. why are these people who lie about themselves on dating websites referred to as catfish? actual catfish show no deceptive behavior. anglerfish would make much more sense.
