You have to remember that the number line is simply a line. It doesn't cover infinity even though itself is infinitely large. An infinite area can contain an infinite sector inside of it.
Music follows the rules of mathematics in it's creation and harmony. Music's exclusive function is to structure the flow of time and keep order in it.
I think he means stop using it in negative connotation as if you were bullying yourself. I mean, worrying about your image is one thing, but openly bashing yourself over your own image makes others that care about you worry.
