There needs to be a point where you draw the line and say that, regardless of mental illness, certain acts are unacceptable and have drastic, mortal, consequences.

If you keep defining down deviance, pretty soon simple murder will be the product of "mental illness" and will therefore be excused by law.

Those who victimize those who can fight back, and overpower them, deserve castration. And not the chemical variety.
