On the farm we use an old over-under Holland and Holland .410 for varmint control. It was a nice gun once--set my grandpa back a few months pay for each gun in the set. But it was used to often that it's worthless for anything but killing squirrels now.
Well, there is a point where you recognize that there is nothing you can do. What I mean is- if she wasn't hurt except for a bit of shock, there really is no reason for her family to keep a bedside watch.
She's just bruised up, so it's not like they'll never see her again.
