I took a history of science course and the professor was the US's foremost expert on the topic. So, instead of using one of his own books, he used a rival's book and spent the whole time reading from the book and telling us what the author got wrong. He was like 90, so he would sometimes fall asleep standing at the podium and would keep talking in his sleep.
It took me like six or seven years of having a license before I got in a crash. My parents were happy that I lasted that long because they didn't. My insurance company wasn't amused, however.
