Interactive scenery is difficult. I would much rather have a game with good gameplay and physics and static scenery rather than a game with poor gameplay and physics and fully interactive scenery.
The game "Timeshift" and the Red Faction games have fully-interactive scenery and it doesn't make up for a poor gameplay experience.
The TV channels which claim to specialize in history and military stuff--like the Military Channel and History Channel and whatnot--have a habit of calling everything a tank.
An IFV is a tank, a ITV is a tank, a howitzer is a tank. If they can mistake a Bradley for a tank, maybe they can mistake a pile of brush or a waffle box for a tank.
Religion is often used as an excuse for political actions.
The Crusades are often credited as being religious in nature--but in reality they were the result of political disputes between Rome and Constantinople. And eventually half the known world because engaged in warfare in territory which belonged to neither Rome nor Constantinople.
