Law systems based upon religion are an abomination; I say this with the utmost respect to forum members from countries which have them but with the strongest of insult to their governments, which are abominations.
More likely, her reason is to draw attention to injustice like the highly publicized woman on Sudan who was an UN ambassador and resigned that position so she could be punished for wearing pants and she's claiming baser goals.
