I wouldn't worry about chemical or biological strikes on nuclear sites. The US has never had bioweapons (unless you count blankets from smallpox infectees) and we've long since destroyed our chemical stockpiles.

Of course, I find it difficult to imagine a Kafkaesque situation that isn't from Kafka.
Like in The Trial when Josef K. has to meet an employer and no one told him when so he assumes he's to meet them at 9 and he gets in trouble for being late, so he told to be there at 8:45 the next week and he does and no one is there.
