While a university degree is not a necessity for a good income, it does help.
I think you will find it easier to study and do work if you establish a routine. You get up, you do this, you do that, and you go to class, and you go to the library to do your work and you don't leave until you're done.
Your university should have some kind of student development department, or an academic advising office.
These people will gladly help you establish habits which will be conducive for success in college.
The only significant thing that everyone has to read is Linda Seger's "Creating the Myth" (they're reading it for next week), an essay about Campbell's book and the hero in film, but its in connection with watching The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and their first argumentative paper.
