I need to renew my license in a little over two weeks. It will likely take all afternoon as I first have to wait to be assigned a service number. Then the service number has to be called. Then I can get the paperwork. And then I fill it out and wait for the number to be called again. Then I turn in the paperwork and go to wait to have a new photo taken. Then I wait to have the license printed off.
Last time I had to renew was when I turned 18, and it took almost four hours.
And they've cut 30% of the DMV workforce at least four times since then.
I wouldn't worry about chemical or biological strikes on nuclear sites. The US has never had bioweapons (unless you count blankets from smallpox infectees) and we've long since destroyed our chemical stockpiles.
