The paint job on a car is analogous to the paint job on your computer case.

A skin you're using in your OS is more like changing or adding dashboard gauges.

The old generic X-wing that just comes with Wedge. The plain TIE and TIE Interceptor. Some still have the Sandcrawler model. The Star Destroyer model.

I even saw the original Snowspeeder once for $30, but didn't have the money for it at the time. They're going for $1125 for a new one on Amazon. Link

Of course, I have all of those older ones that I want.

Once I went into Toys-R-Us to see what Legos they had and stumbled into the action figures and found this.

And more recently I went into Target, also to look at Legos, and they had a few dozen Droid Tri-Fighter sets stacked up...and nothing else.
