I watched it from episode one when Ash is late to Prof Oak's and ends up having to get Pikachu instead of any of the other Starters.
I was hooked from then, but lost interest in the cartoon when I started college (aka high school) and it was on too early in the afternoon so I missed it. I think I watched up to 1/4 of the way through the Johto series. Recently I watched it again on the weekend, but it was dumb. Something about saving some Sheildon.

I loved the games, started with Pokemon Red & Blue & Yellow, my favourite pokemon game of all time is still Pokemon Crystal.

I used to have the trading cards too, then most of them were stolen when I was 13 so I gave up on it.

I don't like most of the new pokemon, and if possible I use the Kanto & Johto pokemon in the new games. And I'm sick of all the legendaries you can't catch without special events and crap like that, its really put me off the games, but I play them anyway.
