I get up at 4am because we use organised transport to go to work. We start working at 0550.
Under no circumstances are we allowed to cut less than 165 square meters of leather, no matter how small or big the leather is. If we cut less than 165 meters, each day, we risk losing our jobs and the bosses won't even hear about it.
Our workplace is the only one not fully automatized, therefore we have to do everything by hand, while other 3 workplaces don't. Most of the times we have to handle around 30-50 knives, place them and remove them from the leather when it's done cutting.
We even have a time limit on how fast we have to cut one leather. It must not take longer than 5 minutes. We have 5 minutes to: place the leather on the table, even it out, fill it with knives from one end to another, avoid all mistakes on it, push the table in, pull the table out when it's done, remove the knives, remove the cut pieces and throw away the rest of the leather.
There's a lot more to do, alongside all of this, like replacing the knives when you switch from one car model to another, switch leathers, keep your workplace clean, etc etc.
Anyone who thinks they can handle this without getting at least a bit mental, I'll be happy to put a good word for you in the office and get you a job here.
