1.) Ethically, yeah. It's probably not in your best interest though. I tend to over-divulge when I go to the doctor because I don't want to forget something and have to go back there later.
2.) I think abridgments are good only when it takes the author nine pages to describe how blue some water is. If the story is so specific to the point that it becomes a chore to read, then I'm probably not going to read it.
@ Neo7- I would update the site graphically first. Version 5 still looks great, but it's been three years and a change would be best. I'd also restructure the moderation system. IMO, the way it's set up now leads to a lot of stagnant conversation and not much quick action. I'd remedy this by either re-instituting the lead mod position or make every major decision solely poll-based.
@ Toastman- I haven't seen the new movie, but I've read the books and stuff. I like the poetic language and double meanings that pop up everywhere the whole story itself seems like LSD in novel form. <_<
