Haha oh man the Rays, they suck right? What? They've been one of the best teams in baseball in the past couple years? What?

The Rays are an enigma; they're always some young team that comes up and either shocks everyone and does awesome or shocks everyone and does suck. Either way they shock everybody and are fun to watch.

Shibby- The Seattle Mariners

The Mariners were the shiznit back in the 90's, with Ken Griffey Jr. and Randy Johnson, you can't really go wrong. Plus the Mariners are owned by Nintendo! So that's something! Probably!

H- The current Pittsburgh Pirates

Hooray! I don't know much about the Pirates actually, sorry. <_<
They're a rotating door of anonymity, never making a splash and their ownership doesn't seem like they want to put any money into making a winning team.

Airhead- The Colorado Rockies.

Things are just a bit off up there in Colorado. From a cleanup hitter who's walk up song is either something by Miley Cyrus or some 'Friday' spoof, to an ace pitcher whose name begins with a U... and ends with a z. The Rockies fly under the radar every single year yet they're always in the race at the end of the season somehow. They are notorious for going on incredible second-half-of-the-season runs.

These are basically hit or miss..

The Astros are in the rebuilding process. They are going to be in for a long year, but if they capitalize by cultivating their young talent, they could easily become a serious contender in the NL central in the future.

latios_power- the Los Angeles Angels (of Anaheim)

I feel like the Angels are the Braves of the West coast; they have solid pitching and are the perennial favorite to win their division, and even won a championship in 2002, however, they have been largely irrelevant in the playoffs as of late despite having the most solid team in the AL west.

Shianova- the Toronto Blue Jays

The Jays are sometimes lost in the shuffle that is the incredibly high profile AL East. The Jays are a heavy hitting team with a ton of upside, but they are largely discounted in their division due to the existence of bigger fish like the Yankees and the Red Sox.

Known for the famous "chicago black sox" scandal of 1919, which saw 8 players banned (including the legend "shoeless" Joe Jackson) for allegedly losing the World Series on purpose (Kevin Costner's career thanks you though). The White Sox have since found vindication in their 2005 world series title over the Houston Astros and are constant contenders in the AL central thanks to their solid lineup, ace Mark Burhle and dark...ish demeanor.

The Orioles are a young team, with a few veterans interlaced throughout their lineup. Under their first year manager Buck Showalter, the O's have been playing very good baseball, and with the Rays most likely out of the conversation, the AL east could come down to a three team race between the Yankees, Red Sox and Orioles.

Planbskater- the New York Mets

Poor planb is the lowly mets; a team known to always get close, but never win the big one (at least in recent years). The mets have had a great past though, as the '69 mets are still the standard for cinderella out of nowhere world champions, but this year at least, it looks like barring a '69 mets-esque miracle, these mets are going to battle with the Nationals for last place in the NL East.

forty two- the Los Angeles Dodgers

For some reason, the dodgers fly under the radar for most baseball fans. It's a reason I can't determine, because the Dodgers are perennial playoff contenders and have a solid lineup and rotation. The Dodgers were once known as the "Brooklyn Dodgers" back in the day, because, well, they played in Brooklyn, and they played well, producing hall of famers such as Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese, not to mention a world series championship. However, the Dodgers eventually made the move out to the bright lights of LA in 2007 in 1958 and it's been history ever since.

Dhampy- The Minnesota Twins

The Twins have their own distinctive, almost eastern style of baseball that they play outdoors in the Minnesota elements at Target Field. The Twins surprisingly have a huge post count payroll, despite being a mid-market team. The Twinkies have won three world series titles, including the dramatic 1991 7 game series over the Braves () thanks to the heroics of Minnesota legend Kirby Puckett. As of late, the twins are perennial playoff... apperancers; they have yet to win a playoff game in their last three.
