Doesn't mean you've been apart of the community since 2006. I can't recall your name and I was quite active not too long ago. You'd have known that most people refer to me as Toasty, hence the joke.

The joke is that my entire alias is based off the superhero Toastman. And sometimes I go by the nickname Toasty. And then she asked if I like my toast toasty...NEW PEOPLE, AM I RIGHT? MAKIN ME EXPLAIN JOKES AND ALL.

College hasn't always been in the norm, though. Back in the day, and not necessarily just in the 90's, but much father back as well, college was only for people who wanted a higher level of learning. It was for people who were going to go into teaching, scientists and philosophers. Otherwise, the average Joe had no place in a college. And the average Joe didn't want to be there either. He could settle down with a nice factory job and support his family without the need of a degree. Nowadays, the employers have long since realized that a man with a degree is a much better worker than one without and now require the degrees to even be considered for getting a job. Because of this, our contemporary average Joe is going to college with his sub par high school diploma in hopes of getting a degree. Personally, I totally agree with you. Keep college to the same standards and let those who deserve the degrees get them. Moreover, if you really want the degree, you'll work pretty damn hard to get it. Have you ever seen the movie District 9? Remember how the aliens had two different types of "people" in their race? There was a thinking class with a higher intelligence, and a working class who were known for their brute strength. Personally, I think the human race is the same way, but the line between us is a bit more blurred. Maybe we'll have some parameters for that in the future though. Then we'll only get smart people at college.

You know, I was totally about to say that Ron Swanson reminds me of Dhampy in almost every way and vice versa, but now I don't need to. All in all, these are pretty damn good to live by.
