@ Wrythe1985 No offense was taken. My first thoughts were that you a Christian trying to subtly impose his beliefs, I may of been wrong. However, the doctrines to which I refer, don't state that we are part of anything bigger. Typically they state we are merely subjects to a higher power who in turn exists solely to impose morality upon us. I hate such debates because they always run into an inevitable brick wall.
What we want to believe is of no relevance to the discussion. My point was that perhaps "we" are part of something bigger. Perhaps the universe is one large consciousness that exists beyond our comprehension. Much how a single neuron has no awareness of the mind it helps to relate. I hate this god gap delusion. It's boring, juvenile and belongs in the past. We need to open our minds to possibilities not to the doctrines that have enslaved our species.
