Get both ends of the surface that will be stuck together.
Now spread glue conservatively to both surfaces where they will stick together (this does not mean put down a pot of glue onto them just enough)
Let the glue on both surfaces dry a bit until they become tacky
Press both together if you can use weight leverage to hold it down, if its fragile then just leave to dry overnight.

Done.
