Exactly Dhampy, but all over the net on forums etc, Americans are at each others throats, guess its all about the Democratic vs Republican type of people. Hence why the tears
But the main thing I find funny is, the Americans are taught that their country is amazing etc, that they are missing the fact their country has a huge ass national debt and are importing massive amounts because their own workforce cannot handle the demands.
Not because of lack of people, but because of lack of experience and education.
Perhaps the shutdown will actually open peoples eyes more and teach them that although they love their country it is fallible and not as stable as they believe.
Added to this is how the people are led to believe that paying for a meal and then subsidising a waiter/waitress' wage packet. This should not be happening. An owner of a restaurant should be making a good profit on food items (and in cases with a bar drinks sold) that they can pay all staff. Why should a hard working person pay a big price for a meal for themselves/party of 2/family and then pay more money to the waitress to help her/him live?
What this does is promote favoritism with customers, why pay so much attention and look after a single person or a couple, when a family of 5 means a larger tip of 15-20%? They don't in most cases. And when they don't get a 15-20% tip, which is not a requirement to do so in most states some are though, over time they become resentful and not offer a good adequate service and then the business itself suffers. And then those food drives, they are to help the poor and needy get food items, but you see it time after time on TV shows and people talking about it, that the majority of people who go to food drives have enough money to spend on food, but why spend when you can get it for free? And thats what they do, in some cases people are greedy and buy food normally and get more for free. So in the long run the people who can't afford it are being left out
