It almost stings that Bioshock Infinite is on this year’s list, as it was last year as well. It’s been a turbulent year for Irrational Games, but it looks like early 2013 we may finally get to visit the mysterious city of Columbia. With its focus on story and expanding the already established world, Bioshock could be reinventing shooters again.

Grand Theft Auto V

For most of the year, GTA V remained almost a complete mystery, but when the details started to trickle out it became clear that it was something we needed to keep on our radars. Featuring the biggest world the franchise has seen, a new multi character control system and some of the best cinematics we’ve seen, we can’t wait to return to Los Santos.

The Last of Us

Naughty Dog is known for the Uncharted series -- one of the best console franchises of this generation, but can they outdo themselves with The Last of Us? Their end of the world action title features amazing production values, a cool new user interface and a one of the most mysterious stories we’ve seen. Count us in.
