Quick substitutions:
By pressing circle on the play call screen, you can make quick substitutions to line up your stronger players against weaker opposing players.
Hint:
Create a player and lower the attributes to almost nothing. Sign him up for 7 years with no bonus. Then raise his attributes to what you want and his pay stays the same. You can also use this to trade for real players and draft picks. Then lower the attributes so they want to drop him.

Easy yards:
Put a reciever in motion. If someone follows, you're being guarded by a man-to-man defense. If it's a zone defense whip the ball to the sidelines on outs and you should get easy yards again and again.
When you snap the ball, focus on what the linebackers are doing. If they rush the line, look for a reciever over the middle. You can get lots of quick yards that way.
