Unlocking the Special Cup:
Complete the Star Cup with a gold cup to unlock the Special Cup

Unlocking the Feather Cup:
Complete the Shell Cup and Banana Cup with a gold trophey to unlock the Feather Cup

Unlocking the Lightning Cup:
Complete the Feather Cup with a gold trophey to unlock the Lightning Cup.

Unlock Daisy:
Complete the 50cc Nitro Grand Prix cups with a rank of A or higher

Unlock 3 choice karts:
Complete the 50cc Retro Grand Prix cups with a rank of A or higher

Unlock Dry Bones:
Complete the 100cc Nitro Grand Prix cups with a rank of A or higher to have Dry Bones selectable as a racer

Unlock Waluigi:
Complete the 100cc Retro Grand Prix cups with a rank of A or higher to have Waluigi selectable

Unlock the Mirror Class Cups:
Complete the 150cc Nitro Grand Prix cups with a rank of A or higher to unlockt he Mirror class set

Select 7 karts:
Complete the 150cc Retro Grand Prix cups with a rank of A or higher to select among 7 karts.

Unlock R.O.B:
Complete the Mirror Class Nitro Grand Prix cups with a rank of A or higher to have R.O.B selectable

Select among all karts:
Complete the Retro Class Grand Prix cups with a rank of A or higher to select all the karts for any character

Unlock the 7th set of Missions:
Complete the previous 6 set of missions with a Star Rank or higher to unlock the 7th set of missions.

Shortcut:
On the level Bowser Castle, where the floor is spinning and you usually go up. When you're on the spinning floor, make a right and go through the short cut.

Stop red shells:
All you need to do is have a banana, look at your map if the red shell is coming from right behind you lay the banana right behind you this will deflect the red shell.

Hints:
1. If you're on Peach, Daisy, Dry BONES, mARIO, yOSHI, or Luigi, don't try to drift... The trick is if you wanna be shy guy in singleplayer mode then: Go to grand prix. Chose any old character, preferably the one with the kart you like best. Choose a class (50cc, 100cc, 150cc, or Mirror) When it plays the music and shows the preview of the stage before it counts down to the race, hold select. It will have worked if it just skips the preview. Have fun racing as an adorable green little shy guy!!

2. Don't use anyone's 3rd kart; the first ones are always more effective.

3.In DK pass when you first start to the side there's a bunch of pine trees. Drive over to where those trees are and you should drie right through them. Then you'll be driving up a hill in which an item box lie on top. Even if you're in 1st place the itembox will give you bullet bill or star or king mushroom. It's pretty cool yeah

4. In rainbow road when you bump into the sides it makes a pretty sound. Hehe. The tip is NOT to get speed bursts cause then you could fall off. You should only get a speed burst if you're looping.

5. In Balloon Battle get an item box. When you get an item box with a mushroom, triple mushroom, or king mushroom in it don't waste it. (Have less than 3 balloons blown up) Find your target, preferably a team opponent. Make sure you're about to bump into them, then use the speed burst. Congratulations, thief! You have successfully stolen a balloon!
