That is a known/common issue. You have to run the game in window or borderless mode.

I'm playing with the Aurora Launcher on the Steam Deck, and tried activating the trainer both in the main menu and in game. When I activate the trainer for Stardew Valley the following error occurs in the log.

1. Running on Steam deck!
2. Successfully attached to Stardew Valley
3. Collect Farmer, Script error in line 6: Cannot find aob for 'Collect_Farmer'

I've tried multiple versions of Proton and they all have this error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stardew doesn't work

I believe it has something to do with it being 32 bit.

Hello. Not sure where to ask this, but I have a question - do you need to play games through the desktop, or does the default steam deck view work as well?

Depends from game to game. Some games have some issues that requires switching to desktop mode. But this is not a limitation from our software but from Valve's Proton engine.

Hi CH team,

You added a great feature to Aurora last year that detects if you're using a Steam Deck and then stores Aurora's settings in the local Aurora folder to make it easier to use between games.

I was wondering if there is a way to force this behaviour when NOT on a Steam Deck? (Launch arg, tweaking a config?)

I run Linux on my desktop and I've been using a script to copy over some base settings to each game's respective prefixes to remove some of the hassle, but if I could force using local folder settings like on the Steam Deck that'd be pretty handy.
