I have the Epic version of the game and this trainer works for that version as well. I haven't tried all the options in the trainer though.
Can you please try all options and report back so we can mark the trainer as EPIC compatible without having to purchase another copy of the game?
I used option 6 Display First Place In Race and I still lost the race in the games chapter 5.
You've already completed the mission but here is a tip for everyone else having this problem:
Set game difficulty to easy
I lost the race 5 times, then lowered game difficulty from "classic" to "easy" and instantly got 1st place within the 1st lap.

I am playing on Easy and I still had to do the race several times before I could beat it
Unlimited Car Fuel: So that means its possible to run out of fuel while your racing?
