Do you think it will be possible to fix the money in the save game, or will we need to start over fresh without using the money option?
I fixed it with CoSMOS (you can also use Cosmos) and do like Sarcastic mentioned before in this thread, it works

Launch Cosmos, set Experience level to Beginner, Search type exact, Value type 4 bytes.
Go to one of the ingame parts stores, once in the store menu take note of how many credits you have, enter value in cosmos do scan. Buy a part, then enter the new value of money you have, repeat this till you are left with the exact same code values over and over. Move those into stored items, change the value to what you want, ten million, whatever, while still in the parts store buy something again, value will change to whatever you entered and bobs your uncle its fixed enjoy.

This does not work for me, mine just says 2.3 billion, and does not change when buying parts.
Okay igro do this:
Run game, load savegame and open Cosmos or CoSMOS. Run first scan for an unknown value (4 bits) then buy something and run 2nd scan for decreased value by (enter amount here) and keep doing so until u get a few addresses (I got 12) that will keep changing every time you buy something. Then modify their values into a more reasonable number (I did 25 millions $$$). After it you can fastravel and buy garages without issues.

until now i still didn't have clue value for incresase SP (speed Point)
