PWizard - sorry for the delay response. I searched everywhere for the saved game files. User/Documents/Game saved folder is blank?? I think it's saving to a cloud server? I find no saved game files in STEAM under the game anywhere.
Thanks for the trainer and the quick update upon the release date. Is anyone having an issue with the "Super Infantry" option, doesn't seem to be capturing the data and working for me. I find that some of the 4 bytes data is easy to find, others is impossible - like trying to add infantry units to your overall count. If god mode can't be done, then being able to add INFANTRY units would accomplish the same end result (overhwhelm the enemy LOL).
I don't have this game but I have a couple of suggestions on where the save file might be.
For the "Users" folder, it could also be under Users->Name of your windows account->appdata->local->name of game or name of the game developer. Rarely, it could also be under locallow. If you don't see the appdata folder, you will need to enable "show hidden items" in windows explorer
For the steam folder, save files are sometimes located in the userdata folder as well - ie steam->userdata. However, it's more tricky to look at the userdata folder because they are named according to steam appID as opposed to the title of the game in the steamapps folder. Fortunately, the appID is easy to find. Just go to the game's steam store page and look for the ID within the url.
For this game, it's
store.steampowered.com/app/2109370/The_Great_War_Western_Front/
So the appID is 2109370. So if this game's save files are saved to the steam userdata folder, it will be something like Steam->userdata->you steam numeric user ID->2109370->one of the folders containing the save file.
